A Safe Place by Claudia Farese

One exercise I’ve always struggled with in psychotherapy was to imagine a “safe and happy place” so I decided to visualise it on paper instead. A place of harmony for me is one where I am alone with nature, where night is approaching, and I can drop the mask and be myself. This illustration was created using soft pastels on paper.

Claudia Farese is an Italian artist who graduated in Arts and Literature from the University of Venice. After several years in Wales (UK), they moved to Madrid, where they currently live with their partner, two cats, and a dog. Claudia has been passionate about art and literature  since childhood and recently discovered a love for painting. Their work often explores themes of mental health and nature.
